Emerson Announces Completion of Construction of the Asia Flow Center of Excellence

Shanghai, China (Mar 21, 2008) -Emerson Process Management, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR) has completed construction of its new, world-class Asia Flow Center of Excellence in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, PRC. Despite the record snowfall and winter storms, construction was completed within 12 months of ground breaking with an official opening ceremony on January 28, 2008. The successful, fast-track completion of this new facility demonstrates the strategic importance of this investment to Emerson and the tremendous support received from the Nanjing community.

The Emerson Asia Flow Center of Excellence is designed to establish a world class, regional manufacturing and distribution center which will deliver leading flow measurement technology and additional services to customers throughout the Asia Pacific region. Experienced Emerson leaders and local manufacturing experts are based at the facility, establishing production lines and relocating operational teams to support the start-up. Emerson is planning an official grand opening later this year to celebrate this important strategic asset for Emerson in serving the Asia Pacific market.
