Design Application Competition Begins
BEIJING, CHINA, May 2009 – Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR), announced that the 2009 Emerson Cup Digital Scroll Central Air-Conditioning Design Application Competition has officially begun to collect entries.
The 2009 Emerson Cup Digital Scroll Central Air-Conditioning Design Application Competition is organized by Emerson Climate Technologies and supported by Chinese Association of Refrigeration, HVAC Technical Committee of the Architectural Society of China, Air Conditioners and Heat Pump Technical Committee of the Chinese Association of Refrigeration, and HVAC magazine.
According to the organizing committee, they will begin to collect entries on May 4, and the deadline is Sept 15. There will be four phases to the competition, including entry submissions, preliminary assessment, qualifying rounds, and finals. The competition was specially designed to accommodate three groups – engineers (including designers at design institutes and college faculties), dealers (who distribute and sell Digital Scroll central air-conditioners), and students (including college students majoring in architecture environment and equipment, and other relevant areas). 36 winning projects will share the prize of RMB150, 000, including RMB40, 000 for the Outstanding Prize.
